Time is a precious gift!

Hey Everyone!  It was just 6 months ago when I was offered the chance to return to a country very dear to my heart.  That's right-MOZAMBIQUE!  (If you don't know where that is, pull out your maps people!)  I served my time as a missionary for the LDS church in this beautiful place and with these wonderful people.  Now, I have the chance to be going back as a volunteer for the Care For Life organization.  Care For Life's motto is alleviate suffering, promote self-reliance, and instill hope.  Without going into too much detail, I will have the opportunity to participate in many community projects that will help the Mozambican people become more independent and aware of what they can accomplish in their lives.  I will spend a fair share of time in the city of Beira, the home base centered around the many villages to which we will administer.  I will be arriving in Beira on May 18th (there's a 9 hour difference between there and here---SOAB!) and I will be staying till July 23rd.  The reason for my long stay are my responsibilities as a team leader.  I have the chance to help out with Care For Life in a leadership position and hope that I will grow from this opportunity.

There isn't a whole lot else to say, but I'm really looking forward to this chance to be back with the people I love and to meet and work with new faces!

AND, I'm Looking forward to blog for my first time ever!  Remember, I'm an amateur and hopefully my sister Kristin can give me some tips along the way!
